At Living Happy Professional Organiser, my mission has always been to help people create spaces that feel calmer, more functional, and easier to live in.
Today, I'm excited to share an important new chapter in my business.
Many of my clients already know the positive impact that decluttering and organising can have on their wellbeing. What you may not know is that I have recently completed a Certificate IV in Feng Shui through the Australian College of Environmental Studies (ACES), becoming a qualified Feng Shui Consultant.
Over the past few years, I have seen firsthand how transforming a home or workspace can positively affect a person's wellbeing, productivity, relationships, and overall quality of life. My Feng Shui studies have given me another layer of understanding of the connection between our homes and the way we experience life.
As a result, I am delighted to introduce The Living Happy Home System™, my signature framework that combines professional organising and Feng Shui principles to help create homes that are functional, balanced, and supportive.
This approach brings together everything I have learned through my organising experience and Feng Shui studies, creating a practical pathway to help people feel more supported by their homes and environments.
What Is Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice that seeks to create harmony between people and their environment.
At its core, Feng Shui is based on the concept of Qi (Chi), often described as life-force energy. According to Feng Shui principles, Qi flows through everything around us, including our homes and workplaces. The way a space is designed, furnished, organised, and maintained can either support the smooth flow of this energy or create blockages that may affect not only how we feel within a space, but also influence different areas of our lives.
Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt calm and comfortable? Or entered a cluttered, crowded space and felt stressed or uneasy? Feng Shui explores why certain environments feel supportive and energising while others can leave us feeling drained, distracted, or overwhelmed.
The goal of Feng Shui is to encourage a balanced and harmonious flow of energy throughout a property. This can be achieved through practical adjustments such as reducing clutter, improving room layouts, enhancing natural light, balancing the elements within a space, and ensuring each area of the home supports its intended purpose.
How Different Areas of Your Home Relate to Different Areas of Life
One of the most fascinating aspects of Feng Shui is the belief that different areas of a home are connected to different aspects of life.
Using a Feng Shui tool known as the Bagua Map, a property can be divided into nine different sectors representing themes such as career, prosperity, relationships, family, health, knowledge, creativity, helpful people, and reputation.
From a Feng Shui perspective, the condition of these areas may influence how energy flows in the corresponding area of life. For example, excessive clutter, neglect, or stagnant energy in a particular section of the home may symbolically reflect obstacles or challenges in that area of life.
A cluttered prosperity area may indicate blocked opportunities or difficulty attracting abundance. A neglected area of the relationship may suggest the need to nurture connections and partnerships. An overcrowded career area may reflect a lack of clarity or direction in professional life.
This cluttered area could be your kitchen, bedroom, wardrobe, garage, home office, or even a storage room. The important point is that it can exist anywhere within the home and may affect the corresponding area of life associated with that sector.
While Feng Shui is not about magical cures or quick fixes, it encourages us to look at our environment as a reflection of ourselves. By improving and caring for our surroundings, we can create spaces that better support our goals, intentions, and overall wellbeing.
Why Decluttering Is the First Step in Feng Shui
Many people think Feng Shui begins with moving furniture, adding colours, or placing decorative objects around the home.
In reality, good Feng Shui starts with decluttering and organising.
In Feng Shui, clutter is considered stagnant energy. When our homes become overcrowded with possessions we no longer use, need, or love, energy cannot flow freely through the space.
This can leave a home feeling heavy, chaotic, and difficult to maintain. It can also contribute to feelings of stress, overwhelm, frustration, and mental fatigue.
By decluttering and creating organised systems, we make space for energy to move more freely. Clients often tell me they feel lighter, calmer, more focused, and more motivated after organising their homes.
For many people, this step alone creates a significant positive shift. Their homes become easier to manage, daily routines run more smoothly, and life simply feels less overwhelming.
The Benefits of Feng Shui
Every home and every person is unique, but many people seek Feng Shui to:
Create a greater sense of calm and balance
Improve the flow and functionality of their home
Support health and wellbeing
Enhance focus and productivity
Create more harmonious relationships
Attract abundance and prosperity
Align their home with their personal goals and aspirations
When energy can flow freely through a home, people often report feeling more comfortable, supported, and at ease in their surroundings.
Is Feng Shui Right for You?
This approach may be particularly beneficial if you are:
Feeling "stuck" and ready to create positive change in your life
Seeking improvement in areas such as health, wealth, career, relationships, or overall wellbeing
Moving into a new home and wanting to start with positive foundations
Planning renovations or significant changes to your property
Feeling overwhelmed by your environment and wanting to create greater balance and harmony
Looking to align your home more intentionally with your personal goals and aspirations
Curious about Feng Shui and looking for practical, easy-to-apply guidance
Introducing The Living Happy Home System™

One of the most exciting outcomes of my Feng Shui studies has been the development of The Living Happy Home System™, my signature approach to creating homes that are functional, balanced, and supportive.
The system combines professional organising with Feng Shui principles and follows three simple stages:
Creating an organised and clutter-free foundation that supports your daily life and allows energy to flow more freely throughout your home.
Learning the foundations of Feng Shui and discovering practical ways to improve the flow, balance, and overall feel of your home.
Receiving personalised Feng Shui recommendations tailored to your home's unique layout, orientation, and circumstances.
For many people, the most exciting stage is the Balanced phase, when they begin to explore Feng Shui in a practical, easy-to-understand way.
This stage introduces concepts such as energy flow, Yin and Yang, the Bagua Map, directional energy, room-by-room Feng Shui recommendations, and the connection between different areas of the home and life.
The Balanced stage is based on the Form School and the Compass School of Feng Shui and provides practical guidance applicable to homes. It is designed to help people better understand their environment and make intentional changes that support harmony, wellbeing, and positive energy flow.
Many people are surprised to discover how much can be learned and applied through these foundational principles alone. Often, small changes can make a noticeable difference in how a space feels and functions.
The Living Happy Home System™ is designed to help create homes that not only look organised but also feel supportive, functional, balanced, and aligned with the life you want to create.
