Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the most common questions I receive. If you don’t see yours here, feel free to get in touch — I’m always happy to help.
1
What makes your approach different from other organisers?
My approach is personalised and structured, not one-size-fits-all.
Every person has a different organising style, and every home functions differently. I take the time to understand how you live and create tailored systems that suit your habits, lifestyle, and needs — so your space stays organised long after I leave. I also consider both the practical function and the energy of your space, integrating Feng Shui principles where appropriate.
2
What are your qualifications and experience?
I have completed formal training in professional organising and hold a Certificate IV in Feng Shui. In addition, I have read and studied extensively, with over 100 books and audiobooks across organising, Feng Shui, business, and personal development.

Alongside this, I bring over 25 years of experience in administration and finance, supported by qualifications including a Business degree, an MBA, and Diplomas in Project Management and Leadership.
3
Why should I hire a professional organiser?
A professional organiser does more than tidy a space. I help you make decisions, reduce overwhelm, and create systems that are practical and easy to maintain. This allows you to achieve results faster and with less stress than you would if you did it alone.
4
What if I feel embarrassed about the state of my home?
There is absolutely no judgement. Many clients feel this way before we start. I have worked with all types of homes and situations, and my role is to support you in a respectful and understanding way.
5
Will you make me throw things away?
No. You are always in control. I guide and support you through the decision-making process, but I will never make decisions for you. What you choose to keep or let go of is entirely up to you.
6
Do I need to be home during the session?
In most cases, yes — your presence is important, as you will be making decisions about your belongings. However, depending on the task, I can work more independently where appropriate. We can discuss what works best for you before the session.
7
How involved do I need to be?
Your level of involvement depends on the type of service and stage of the process. In some cases, I can take the lead and manage much of the organising for you, asking only key questions to determine the best system. However, during the decluttering stage, your input is essential, as only you can decide what stays and what goes.
This may not be required for the entire session, but your involvement at key moments is important. I always adapt to your energy and capacity — some clients prefer to be very hands-on, while others need more support.
8
Do I need to buy organising products?
Not always. I aim to work with what you already have wherever possible. If additional products are needed, I will recommend options that suit your space and organising style — but only when necessary.
9
How much do you charge, and how long does the process take?
The time and cost depend on the size of the space, the level of clutter, and how quickly decisions are made. After assessing your space, I provide a clear estimate so you know what to expect before we begin.
10
Do you work with NDIS participants?
Yes, I welcome and support NDIS participants. I provide organising services to improve daily living, create safer, more functional environments, and reduce overwhelm in the home. My services may fall under support related to capacity building, self-care/personal domestic activities, or household tasks, depending on your plan.

As an independent (non-registered) provider, I can work with self-managed and plan-managed participants. If you’re unsure whether my services align with your plan, I’m happy to discuss your needs and help you determine if this support is suitable for you.
11
Should I tidy up before you come?
No, please don’t. Seeing how your space currently functions helps me understand what is and isn’t working, so I can create better systems for you.
12
What is the difference between in-person and virtual organising?
In-person organising is hands-on, where I work with you directly in your space. Virtual organising is a guided DIY service in which I provide advice, structure, and support while you carry out the process yourself.
This option is ideal if you prefer a lower-cost service or are located outside my service area.
13
What is Feng Shui and how can it help me?
Feng Shui is a traditional practice that focuses on how your environment influences your wellbeing. By adjusting layout, flow, and energy, it helps create a space that feels more balanced, supportive, and aligned with your goals.
14
Do I need to follow all Feng Shui recommendations?
No. All recommendations are optional. My approach is practical and flexible — you can choose what feels right for you and your home. The goal is to create a space that supports you, not overwhelms you.
15
What type of businesses do you work with and what makes your business support service different?
I work with small business owners who need support organising their systems, processes, and administrative tasks. This includes both home-based and established businesses looking to improve efficiency and structure.

I bring both practical experience and strong formal qualifications, including a Business degree, an MBA, and Diplomas in Project Management and Leadership. My focus is on creating structured, efficient systems — not just completing tasks — so your business runs more smoothly and effectively.

A calm and organised home is possible — and you don’t have to do it all on your own.
Small changes can make a big difference, and I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
